This week we talk about letting go of perfectionism, and freeing ourselves from the burden of being perfect. If we feel confident only when we're perfect, it's holding us back, it is a confidence killer. We can't raise our confidence unless we're willing to stop trying to be perfect, and here is how.

The Five Steps to Let Go of Perfectionism:

  • Admit that perfection does not exist
  • Focus on the progress
  • Believe that you are enough
  • Accept that all you can ever do is your best in your particular circumstances
  • Acknowledge and celebrate all of your successes

I'm aware that I may very well be asking you to change the habits of decades of perfectionism. It's not going to happen overnight, but if you commit to doing these five things you will get there. And remember that you're not meant to be perfect. Happy, confident people are those who aim to be the best they can be.
